Waiheke visit Waiuku at Waikaraka Park. Up for grabs was the HubCap Trophy.

Waiuku fended off a great challenge from Waiheke and came away with the Tophy. Twenty two fenderbenders took to the track with eighteen in the main event.

The day was glorious and the track was fast.

Rally Sprint Event
Drivers set off one at a time at 1min
intervals and their runs are timed.
Their times are recorded; it makes
good competition between the classes
they are racing in. All drivers get the
chance to compete for the King of the
Hill which is reduced down to the top eight
fastest times of the first three rounds.
These drivers then race against each other
for the superior title KING OF THE HILL.
The points for this event and class points
are added up over the sprint series and the
drivers, wether it be he or she with the most
points receive trophies at the end of season
prize giving. The times that some drivers do
can make your hair stand on end.

Track Events
There are over 50 races per meeting and include
many classes of cars, Modified, V8, 6cyl, 4cyl
saloons, off Roaders, fender benders, juniors,
street stocks and in each class there are ladies
races and mechanics races, which allow more
than one person or family member to drive the

race car.
Main stream classes get 5 races per day and

junior, ladies, mechanics have 3 races per day.
Cars can be set up for a minimum of $500.00

up to as deep as your pocket can go.

This summer series as last summer series well

will be racing at Waikarka Park. The meetings

will be held on a Sunday. Thanks to the

promoter Frank Irvine who has allowed us to race

there until our own track is ready. The race dates

are yet to be confirmed.
